History & Milestones
More than three decades of growth, rooted in one neighbourhood and one promise to families.
Three decades in Budhanilkantha
Dhrubatara English School began in 1990 (2046 B.S.) as a small English-medium school in Chapali. From those first classrooms grew an NEB-affiliated, ISO-certified institution serving children from their earliest years through +2 — while staying close to the families and community it started with.

Since 1990
Rooted in Chapali, growing with its families.
How the story unfolded
1990 (2046 B.S.)
Dhrubatara English School is founded in Budhanilkantha-03, Chapali, Kathmandu as an English-medium, co-educational school — built on a simple belief: care first, then learning follows.
2000s
Steady expansion from ECD and Playgroup through Grade 10, with students completing the full SEE (then SLC) journey under one roof.
2010s
The school adds its four +2 streams — General, Management with Computer Science, Hotel Management, and Civil Engineering — opening clear pathways into college and careers.
Recently
Dhrubatara earns ISO 21001:2018 certification — the first school in Budhanilkantha Municipality to do so — formalising its commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
